CORTEZ YACHT CHARTERS, in cooperation with THE BILLFISH FOUNDATION, provides every Charter Master of a sportfishing cruiser a free 1 year membership in THE BILLFISH FOUNDATION, a prestigious organization, recognized worldwide as the leading authority on billfish resources. This innovative program, now in it's third year, has been made possible in part throught the efforts of the GAVIOTA SPORTFISHING FLEET (Cabo San Lucas), ZIHUATANEJO SPORTFISHING FLEET (Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo), and the ARIES FLEET (Mazatlan).

Our goal is to provide hundreds of new members to The Billfish Foundation, increasing angler awareness for "catch & release" and conservation of the oceans' resources.

On the 1st of each month, our office provides information to The Billfish Foundation for all deposited Charter Masters. During the following 4 - 6 weeks, you will begin receiving their specialty information & publications, focused on the world's billfish resources. For those of you who charter several times a year, Cortez Yacht Charters will contribute to the educational fund of The Billfish Foundation for each seperate charter.

Each of the participating companies have agreed to encourage the release of billfish in their respective fishing areas and will provide the angler with a "Billfish Release Notification Card". The cards will be forwarded to The Billfish Foundation and the angler will receive a special, parchment release certificate, suitable for framing. This applies to every member of your angling group.

The Billfish Foundation adheres to a "conservation through research" approach and is recognized by governments across the globe. Our involvement, yours and ours, with this scientific organization will be an investment in billfish for the future and ensuring the continuous availability of billfish for our children's children...
